For years, Northern media propaganda has pointed the finger at the South, portraying Sicily as a dangerous and backward land. But the reality, experienced daily by citizens and tourists, tells a very different story: Milan is the real capital of crime, while Sicily remains an island of humanity, dignity, and safety.
🔴 Milan: A City Where Fear Rules the Streets
In the heart of Lombardy, the situation is out of control. The numbers speak for themselves:
- 440,000 crimes reported each year in Lombardy
- Milan ranks number one in Italy for thefts, robberies, sexual assaults, drug dealing, and violence
- Entire neighborhoods where police have lost control and drug dealers operate in broad daylight
- Gangs breaking into homes, raping women in front of their husbands, stealing everything, beating and humiliating
- Citizens afraid to go out at night, women avoiding public transportation after sunset

Yet the Northern media continues to attack Sicily.
🟢 Sicily: A Land of Dignity and Warmth
Yes, Sicily also has crime — but it is mostly limited to petty theft and pickpocketing in larger cities like Palermo or Catania.
There is no urban warfare like what is happening in Milan or Turin.
Most of all, Sicily is a land of people who open their hearts:

As if that weren’t enough, the Lega party — the same party that for decades insulted Southerners and proudly displayed the barbarian horned helmet as their symbol — now has the audacity to want to govern Sicily.
A Sicily they have always despised, while they turned their own “Padania” into a battlefield of crime and social decay.
Salvini made Lombardy his political fortress.
Today, that land is in ruins.
And what is the Lega’s solution? To hide crime reports, as if not publishing them would make them disappear.
But citizens are no longer silent.
